Someone to care for, to be there for, I have you too.

been a while for posting, turned 40, finally got my hands on a semi-pro Canon EOS DSLR, finally getting to grips with the delights of camera raw and the .dng 'tupperware container', taken from a day out to see the Funharmonics I do believe my wife and I have to contend with Laurel and Hardy, Morecambe and Wise, Corbett and Barker, Mainwaring and Pike, Fletch and Godber all in a day.

Inglourious Inspirations

Boy, do I love a good western. A passing chat yesterday evening rocketed me to the local (cheaper) cinema where I travel on business to see Tarantino's latest UK release with a good friend. Oh to grasp for just one minute that space where seeing a good movie transports one to a different zone, floods of the stuff that courses through ones veins only akin to when I was able to bunk in to see Jaws for the first time were prevalent here–media life is rich and plentiful but this was a testament that you couldn't do this on Youtube or a home flatscreen. I'm only thankful that I face a day where I'm forced to flex my own creative skin before I accelerate and cruise my way back to the rich complexities of a chapter less but still very wonderful life.

the sky is the limit

I can see it now - a perfect sunday morning - two weeks of holidays behind me. I think I may now be ready to explode with stuff. As the financial climate drags on I can safely say I have never been busier or more full of things to start and finish. Fireworks is starting to help out a little with fancy shows, and I'm revisiting the art of penmanship. I've some fresh candy to upload to Flickr and I'll try to mount this today. Ploughing my way through Wikinomics, check out the latest article on their blog, as I feverishly work with Adobe suite products from my home studio and am amazed how the freedom of the web has gripped me with evangelical fervour this is a good article, that helped me grasp some complications a little more.

looking for a chance to relax

bump and grind - cold and flu - yes I'm on holiday, a fact I have to keep telling myself - enjoying the moment is challenging when every waking moment usually involves bits and assimilation of as much data as possible. This beauty was at a steam fair on the east coast of england.

you're so vain - is that a pigeon on the chimney

yes, that is , this is me. I'd like to think I've come a long way since then but that ruddy cheeked fervour still beats and I find myself starting the day with a blog entry. Donaldson and Scheffler's lettering comes first to mind for some reason and then the usual avalanche of ideas about what I can do today when really I should just have a shower, coffee clean my teeth and iron my shirt. As a light relief yesterday evening I Curbed my enthusiasm with some Larry David clips esp. a great back seat driver sketch - yoga/yoghurt/yoda - go google it on youtube, oh and have a nice day yourselves.

NOT just another day

if anyone had told me 10 years ago I would be attending not only a holy communion but my Son's first holy communion I wouldn't have understood either. life changes it's patterns thankfully and I was able to doodle this little testament to the day as I waited Humphrey's godfather to arrive. Family and social occasions are feeling just right now - maybe I'm getting old or I'm old enough - 40 approacheth with grace.
